Google+ Dashboard Launches, KISSmetrics Google+ Marketing Guide Available

Googleplus_logoEarlier this month Google+ introduced a dashboard designed for businesses to manage their pages and related Google properties with useful features for musicians and music marketers. In addition, KISSmetrics posted their 2013 Google+ Marketing Guide to offer a great intro for beginners with information that more experienced users should find well worth considering.

The Google+ Dashboard

Google+ recently launched a page management dashboad for "your business, band, cause, or product."

The announcement I found was via a Google employee's page that offers an odd mix of official news and personal items. While they also have lots of information about Google+, it's surprising that an official blog with Google+ news isn't readily available.

According to the announcement, the Google+ Dashboard's features include:

"The ability to update your info (like website URLs, store hours and phone numbers) across Maps, Search and Google+ – all from the Overview tab."

"One place to monitor your Google+ notifications, assign page managers, share photos and videos – even start a Hangout with followers."

"Insights that include top searches for their business, top locations requesting driving directions, and performance data for their Google+ posts."

In addition it states, "We want to make it easier to manage your online presence – all across Google – so today we're getting started with Google+ Dashboard."

So it sounds like the Dashboard is going to be a core tool for Google users.

2013 Google+ Marketing Guide

For those wanting to dig deeper into Google+ with insights that Google may not provide, KISSmetrics just released its 2013 Google+ Marketing Guide.

It starts by walking you through the basics of getting started and quickly moves into such topics as Google+ Authorship and setting up a page which will then give you access to the new dashboard.

If you're interested in moving beyond the level of reluctant, grumpy users such as myself, the above resources should make that a quick and easy process.

Note: I'm assuming the 2013 Guide was posted recently based on the dates on the comments. Unfortunately KISSmetrics seems to be one of those annoying proponents of not dating one's posts in order to make them seem fresher longer.
