40% Of YouTube Traffic Is Now On Mobile

During yesteRday's earnings call. Google revealed that 40% of its traffic mow comes via mobile.  That's up from 25% last year and just 6% in 2011.

And rapid mobile growth is not just happening on YouTube.

By comparison,  according to TechCrunch, Facebook had 819 million monthly mobile users (73%) out of its total 1.15 billion users in Q2 2013, up from 543 million (56%) of 955 million in Q2 2012, 325 million (43%) of 739 million in Q2 2011, and 155 million (32%) of 482 million in Q2 2010.

  1. Yeah, I always check my videos on my phone and iPad before uploading. There are weird things that can show up when compressing that don’t translate. Always Check!
