2nd Cassette Store Day Announced, Burger Records To Coordinate U.S. Events

Cassette-store-day-logoApparently last year's Cassette Store Day events were considered a big enough success to stage it again. Scheduled for September 27th, Burger Records will coordinate activities in the U.S. while Kissability and Suplex Cassettes will handle biz in the UK and European Union. Signups begin June 30th and run through August 15th.

Cassette Store Day took place last year as International Cassette Store Day and was a solid success.

In fact, according to organizers:

"Last year’s Cassette Store Day was a huge success with stores participating in over eighty cities worldwide and releases from the likes of The Flaming Lips, At The Drive In, Deerhunter and more!"

So they're doing it again Saturday, September 27th.

Last year's event turned out to be bigger than expected, especially in the U.S., so this year they're officially appointing Burger Records as U.S. coordinators. Unfortunately their domain currently directs to a dead mobile site but you can find out more about them via Facebook.

Burger Records is a great choice since they actually put out a lot of cassettes as do Kissability and Suplex Cassettes who are handling UK/EU biz. If you're from another country go through the UK/EU folks.

Just so you know:

Cassette Store Day's official website is at cassettestoreday.com.

The UK/EU (and others) site is at cassettestoreday.co.uk/

The U.S. site is at http://cassettestoreday.us/.

You can go to the regional sites from cassettestoreday.com and get region-specific information.

Signup for participation runs from June 30th to August 15th with the forms to be available at cassettestoreday.com. They don't say what happens after August 15th.
