Deezer To Launch In U.S. Sept. 15th with Hi-Def Streaming Exclusively On Sonos

The popular European based streaming music service is introducing itself to the world's largest music market with the launch of Deezer Elite - millions of tracks in high definition audio (16-bit, 44.1kHz, lossless) only available on Sonos.

UPDATE: Sonos customers in the US can try Deezer Elite in beta beginning September 15 with a 30-day free trial.Then Sonos customers can subscribe for $9.99/month, 50% off the regular price of $19.99 when purchased for one year or more, and $14.99 when purchased monthly.

There's no word yet when Deezer will launch in the U.S. on other platforms.

Deezer is live in over 180 countries with 16 million active unique users and 5 million paid subscribers globally.

  1. 16/44 is NOT high definition audio. it is lossless CD quality. High def audio is greater than CD quality, generally 24bit, 96kHz and above
