Dr. Dre Tops Forbes Annual List of Top Paid Musicians

C03-dr-dre-30Ringing in the new year with an extra $620,000,000 in his pocket, Forbes identified Dr. Dre as the top paid musician on 2014 by a landslide. Beyonce and the Eagles came in second and third to Dre, pulling in $115 million and $100 million respectively, hundreds of millions shy of Dre. Dr. Dre clearly benefitted handsomely from the sale of Beats by Dr. Dre to Apple, a one time cash injection that contributed significantly to him grossing nearly 50% of the combined pre-tax income of $1.4 billion to 2014's top 10 paid musicians.
