Bandsintown Adds Tour Date Promotion On SoundCloud
Bandsintown just announced it's newest feature, an integration with SoundCloud that allows artists to promote their tour dates on their artist profile. Any artist with Bandsintown Manager installed will be able to display a "Tour Dates" tab within SoundCloud, giving fans easy access to their gig calendar. As artists become more and more reliant on successful live performance for income, the two simple steps it takes to setup this new service are certainly worth their time.
Bandsintown gave this brief tutorial in yesterday's blog announcement: To get started, go to your artist profile on SoundCloud, click Edit, under View On The Web, insert your Bandsintown custom link (http://www.bandsintown.com/YOURARTISTNAME) and a descriptor such as Tour Dates on Bandsintown. You will then see the Bandsintown favicon on the left of your SoundCloud profile and with one click, fans will have access to the same tour dates you’re already displaying on Facebook, your website and in Google Search results.
You can do this on Soundcloud with Songkick and BandPage as well. BIT rounds out the feature nicely.
