Viral Video Pushes “Bohemian Rhapsody” To #12 On Streaming Chart 40 Years After Release

image from www.guyjest.comOne of the interesting byproducts of music charts that measure the moment is how current events and social media can trigger the rediscovery of a song years or even decades after its initial release.

This week , Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" debuted at No. 12 on Billboard's Streaming Songs chart after a  261% increase in weekly streams. The jump was caused by a YouTube video from Australian comedy trio SketchShe – a sped-up version of the track recorded in their car titled "Bohemian Carsody".

The song was first released in 1975.
