Warner Music Group’s inde arm Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) has promoted David Orleans to President of sales and label management and Kenny Weagly to President of A&R and label services. 

New York City's Avatar Studios, better known as The Power Station, is for sale.

Vevo has named Turner Broadcasting top exec Phil Kent as Chairman  and Jon Carvill  as VP, Communications. Most recently, Jon was the Senior Director of PR at Qualcomm. 

Former Warner Bros. Records president Livia Tortella has launched music marketing agency Black Box. Initial clients include Bill Silva Entertainment (Jason Mraz, Brooke Candy) and Zeitgeist Artist Management (Death Cab For Cutie, Best Coast).

 

AdShare, the social media monetization service for music, film and sports, announced the appointment of Jim Selby as President. Selby is probably best known in the music industry for his long tenure as CEO at Naxos, the classical music label and distribution.

Music and lifestyle branding and marketing firm MSO (Mitch Schneider Organization) is launching a Social Media Division with services provided by veteran music marketer Michael Brandvold. Branvold will also continue to offers his services direct to artists and the music industry.

Live Nation Entertainment announced that Carrie Davis has been named as Chief Communications Officer. She  joins LN from Disney Interactive, where she served as vice president of communications. 

Jedd Katrancha has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Downtown Music Publishing. Katrancha has lead the company’s creative services and sync licensing business.

The Talkhouse, the website spearheaded by veteran music journalist Michael Azerrad, where notable musicians and filmmakers discuss each other's work, has named Brenna Ehrlich as Managing Editor of Talkhouse Music. Ehrlich was most recently Senior Pop Editor and Writer at MTV News.
