Is It Time To Make Music Profitable Again?

1With the perceived devaluation of music, many in the industry are racking their brains as to how the music business can be "saved," or at least made to be profitable enough to be sustainable for the foreseeable future.

In this latest post to MusicThinkTank, Nissim Elias responds to a recent article by Paul Resnikoff detailing the death of the music industry by brainstorming how it might be saved.

"Saving the shrinking music business, its cause and its future in the wider perspective, is going to be very hard to do if we count only on business Initiatives alone. The major companies and big labels are mostly focused on their own survival.
They perform by concerns over their balance sheets and profits, and these considerations are again working against the business in its whole."
