Google's YouTube is planning a March launch of a new music streaming service, internally called Remix, which will include Spotify style on-demand streaming plus some video from YouTube, sources tell Bloomberg

This will be Google's third attempt to launch a successful music service. Current efforts, Google Play Music and YouTube RED, have failed to gain real traction.

Lyor cohenLyor Cohen, YouTube's Global Head Of Music, has publicly suggested that Google should combine Play Music and RED into a single service; and that plus some additional features could be what Remix is all about.  Cohen's former employer, Warner Music Group, is reportedly the first and only major music group to sign on, so far.

YouTube has already reached out to artists to seek their help in promoting the new service, according to one source.
