#LoveMusic Launches To Support New EU Copyright Laws

BTS Sets YouTube 24 Hour Debut Record with 'IDOL'

The previous record holder is Taylor Swift, whose video for “Look What You Made Me Do” had 43.2 million views in its first 24 hours.

Tencent Music Sets Oct. 18th For $30B US IPO

Tencent MusicTencent Music Entertainment will submit its IPO to the US Securities and Exchange Commission on September 7th with its IPO slated for October 18th,  sources within China are reporting.  Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are underwriting the IPO at a value of about $30 billion,  just under Spotify’s market value of $31 billion.

MusicLife Raises $5M For 'World's First Music Exchange'

Spotify Names Top Songs Of Summer 2018 US, Global

Spotify newDrake tops Spotify's Most Streamed Songs Of Summer 2018 with more 393 million streams of "in My Feelings" between June 1 and August 20, but Cardi B take the next two spots. The first with Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” raked up 293 million streams, and then her own  “I Like It” (featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny) captured  289 million streams for the same period. There here were also some debuts and newcomers just a little bit down the list.
