• Internet radio platform Live365 has crossed the Atlantic, securing licensing from PPL and PRS for Music in the United Kingdom. Broadcasters and listeners alike can now utilize the internet radio platform that is home to thousands of stations. 

• Label services, rights management and distribution company ONErpm has announced the addition of Josh Norek as Director, San Francisco & U.S. Latin and Juan Manuel Caipo, A&R, North America & U.S. Latin, to the team. Their hires also mark the establishment of ONErpm’s first West Coast office, in San Francisco. This is the company’s fourth U.S. location, along with Brooklyn, Miami, and Nashville.

• Veteran music exec Moira McCarthy has been promoted to the post of Senior Director of Creative, Advertising, and Marketing at Position Music.  Prior to joining Position, McCarthy was Director of Marketing and Business Development at both Grupo Spiro and The Napoleon Group and was Manager of Music Licensing at Audio Network.

• Hit songwriters Julian Bunetta and John Ryan have partnered with independent publisher Big Deal Music Group, to form a new music company together, Big Family. Between them, Julian and John are responsible for co-writing and/or producing hits by One Direction, John Legend, David Guetta, Thomas Rhett, Harry Styles, Maroon 5, Niall Horan, Pitbull, Jason Derulo, Charlie Puth, Rudimental, Fifth Harmony and others.

• Natascha Augustin, an A&R person pivotal to the rise of German hip-hop and rap, has been promoted to the role of Senior Creative Director at Warner/Chappell Music Germany. Year to date, Warner/Chappell songwriters have propelled it to a market share of 25.15 per cent in the Top 100 singles chart, making it the number one music publisher in Germany. This week it’s enjoying a market share of 43.7 per cent.
