Apple has put itself on the same page as Spotify and Pandora as it releases new competitive features to artists and labels for their store appearance on Apple Music and iTunes. The freedom to manually change your profile picture and bio has been active since September and it’s pretty simple.
Artist that sign up for Apple Music service take a few days for approval, and once approved, can start customizing their page through the Manage tab on the Dashboard in Apple Music for Artists.
Heads up, there’s an internal approval process for new changes, so your profile picture won’t change immediately.
Here are the details:
- Where: in the section labelled Artist Image in the Manage tab on your dashboard
- What: Your new image must be 2400 x 2400 in .jpg or .png
- Once uploaded, you have the option to crop the file and see how it appears on your page
Click Submit for Review, and your process will be on the way
