Tunecore Adds New Distribution Features

Tunecore logo newTunecore has added three features to improve how new music from the diy digital distributor is ingested onto Apple Music, Spotify and other music services. The changes should also make Tunecore more compliant with increasingly stringent data requirements from Spotify and Apple Music designed to insure that artists are properly credited and paid.

New Tunecore Distribution Features

Apple ID Mapping – A new field to include existing Apple ID information ahead of release date, ensuring there won’t be mismatches.

Contributors – The ability to add instrumentation and technical roles involved with a release. The  information will only be available in the stores and streaming platforms that support it.

Lyrics – Add song lyrics to Apple Music and iTunes. When uploading each song and selecting  contributors/roles, users will find a field to copy and paste lyrics.
