Music Leaker Shut Down By Industry Trade Groups

PiracyFile-hosting service has been shut down by a consortium of thee music industry trade groups. The site has often been used to share leaked music from Big Artists and other major artists prior to release.

The RIAA, IFPI and Music Canada joined to push for the shutdown, which follows an RIAA request to host Cloudflare requiring it to unmask the site's operator.

“Making available copyright protected music on the internet without authorisation from the copyright holder is illegal. Wilful, commercial scale copyright infringement could lead to criminal conviction. Illegal music services exploit the work of artists and pay nothing to those creating and investing in music.”
