Hours after Justin Beiber dropped his new album changes, Asher Monroe pointed out that the hook in his 2019 song “Synergy” is exactly the same as Bieber’s “Running Over.

But neither artist stole anything.

The melody is in a royalty-free sample pack that British musician Laxcity uploaded to be sold via online marketplace sounds Splice.
