QUICK HITS: SACEM’s Tronc To Head GESAC, New StageIt CEO • Concord • Bitfury Surround • IDOL

SACEM chief executive Jean-Noël Tronc has been elected President of GESAC, the trade group of European PROs.

Tronc will serve a two-year term and replaces José Jorge Letria, President of Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores (SPA), who remains on the board.

StageIt, the ticketed livestream company, has appointed Stephen White as their new CEO. Founder Evan Lowenstein moves to the role of Executive Chairman.

The company has brought in the new team amidst a period of tremendous growth, having seen over 5000% increase in shows and revenue over the past 12 weeks. White was previously CEO of rights administration platform Dubset Media Holdings and prior to that was President of data services giant Gracenote.

• Nashville’s Concord Music Publishing has entered into an exclusive, worldwide co-publishing agreement with multi-GRAMMY award-winning, CMA Award-winning and Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated songwriter Hillary Lindsey.

• Bitfury Surround, the music and entertainment blockchain ecosystem, has brought on experienced music and tech executive Fabian Alsultany as its first North American hire. Alsultany will work with Surround’s Berlin-based team to lay the groundwork for a new approach to music rights management in the US and Canada.

• French digital distributor IDOL is expanding its market position in Germany with a new branch and the hiring of Marit Posch. Posch, previously active for Modeselektor and its label Monkeytown, takes over the position as General Manager Germany.
