QUICK HITS: 3 Big Sony/ATV Signings • WMG + Imagine • Zach Brown Raises $1.4M

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a global publishing administration agreement with the multi-platinum, award-winning songwriter and producer Freddy Wexler.

His hits include “Be Kind” by Marshmello and Halsey, and the single “Stuck with U” by Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, which was #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and broke debut streaming records for a duet song on Spotify.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing also signed the rapper, songwriter and artist Bobby Sessions to a global co-publishing deal. Bobby co-wrote the Covid-19 benefit song “Savage Remix” by Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé, which recently peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts as well as “The Hate U Give,” “Level Up,” “Black Neighborhood” ft. Killer Mike, and the new single “Girls in the Hood” by Megan Thee Stallion.

• And just in case you have not heard enough from Sony/ATV, they also signed Swedish songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Linus “Lotus IV” Wiklund to a global publishing agreement. Wiklund wrote the hits “Happy Now” by Zedd ft. Elley Duhé, “Don’t Leave Me Alone” by David Guetta ft. Anne-Marie, and “Let You Love Me” by Rita Ora. He has also co-written Ava Max’s forthcoming single, “Who’s Laughing Now.”

Imagine Entertainment Chairman Brian Grazer and Warner Music Group (WMG) today announced a multi-year strategic partnership to co-produce and co-finance a slate of music-centered projects across multiple mediums, including film, television, documentary, and other short-form content.

The Zac Brown Band played a free live stream performance which raised over $1.4 million for the band’s nonprofit project Camp Southern Ground and its veteran support programs.
