Are your TikTok’s getting out to as many people as possible? In this post, we’ll break down how to increase the reach of your videos on TikTok with 5 easy tricks. Here’s the scoop.

5 Ways To Increase Your Reach on TikTok

Before we dive in…

When we talk about the “reach” of your content, we’re referring the total number of people who actually engage with your content whenever you post. That means even if 500 people saw, liked, commented, and/or shared your video, your reach for that post is 500.

Did you know that TikTok has the best organic reach of any social media platform? You do now. Click To Tweet

If you really want to gain some major traction on TikTok, incentivizing viewer engagement with your videos is the key to success. Let’s face it, TikTok is addicting. Its algorithm makes it easy to scroll for hours, making it the perfect place for artists to get their content seen by all kinds of audiences. — Here are 5 tricks to make sure your reach goes as far as possible…

Duets

TikTok Duets work like this. First, someone creates an initial video, then other users respond with their own video to create a “Duet” with both videos appearing side by side on screen in a square format.

Duets have led to some pretty incredible results on the platform, because it essentially forces user-generated content (which is the strongest form of engagement on social media).

Stitch

The Stitch feature on TikTok allows users to clip and integrate scenes from another user’s video into their own. Similarly to a Duet, a Stitch is a great way to reinterpret and add to another user’s content, building on their stories, tutorials, sing alongs, rap battles, and more.

To create a Stitch, follow these steps:

  • Open the TikTok app, find a video you’d like to Stitch, and hit the “Send to” button.
  • Press the “Stitch” button.
  • Select up to five seconds from the video. (You can trim the clip to your preferred duration.)
  • Record your addition to the Stitched clip.

Hop On TikTok Trends

Every week, something new is trending on TikTok. Hell, it seems like something new has taken the platform by storm almost every day. Hopping on the latest trends is a great way to get seen by more people and blow up the engagement on your present and past posts.

Participating in TikTok challenges and trends is fun and all, but creating your own challenges can get you major exposure if it takes off. User-generated content is king, so keep that in mind as you move through the platform. Anything you can do to incentivize engagement with your content can boost your reach in no time.

Quick Tip: Even if a trending challenge doesn’t necessary align with your brand, it’s still useful to get involved. If an unrelated video of yours goes viral, it’ll bring your other posts along for the ride.

Tag Other Artists

TikTok has fostered a strong community of creatives in almost every niche you can think of. There’s a whole network of users who focus specifically on music. Independent musicians, labels, playlists, producers, rappers, singers, drummers… You name it, they’re on TikTok. Find your community and start tagging others in your niche in collaborations, challenges, duets, and more. This is the perfect way to get this content seen by both your audience and theirs. It’s a win-win for both parties.

Collaborations

Just how tagging other creatives can double your video’s reach, so can collaborations. Finding your niche is important in anything you do, as it helps engage a more loyal audience and helps you secure yourself in a more manageable, less saturated space. — Be sure to comment, like, share, duet, other artist’s work and encourage your followers/viewers to do the same.

In Conclusion…

For a greater reach, you need engagement. If you want viewers to interact with your content, you need to give them a reason to. It takes 3 seconds to lose someone’s attention. That means in the first 3 seconds of your videos, you need to create an incentive for further engagement.

Whether it be by posting a series of TikTok’s that doesn’t reveal anything until the very end, adding eye catching overlays, tagging other users, etc., there are tons of ways to make sure your videos are reaching as many people as possible. These 5 tips are a great starting point to get the ball rolling and the creative wheels turning.

  1. Psychological support for the new dilemma is as important as traditional guidance. From my own experience, I understand that. Fortunately, when necessary, I could find help and support. It improved the recovery dramatically and contributed to my future confidence. This issue is more acute than ever in many, particularly now. I’ve been talking to a chat therapist here, and I’ll offer my support here. You cannot go and welcome anyone, and support is available online, too. It is fair. Faced with the pandemic, this is more important than ever. I assume that someone would use it.
