Submit to be part of Hit The Decks #2

Indie label This & That Tapes produces a wickedly cool lo-fi magazine about cassette culture called Hit the Decks and you – musicians, writers, and artists – can be part of Issue #2.

This & That honcho Joe Carlough, who also happens to be a Touring 101 student of mine at Berklee, describes the effort and how to submit to Hit The Decks:

“When I started This & That Tapes, I wanted to start a community. I wanted to get to know you, all of you. I wanted to know the names of the people who bought my cassettes, I wanted to meet you at events, I wanted you to know each other.”

“As T&TT hits 2.5 years old, I feel really proud of the community gathering around me, but you know what? I think we can do better.”

“So I’m asking you – all of you – to submit something cassette-themed to the next issue of Hit the Decks! Art, songs, essays, poetry, comics, doodles, lyrics, photos, whatever.”

“I want it, as long as it’s about cassettes. There will even be an album download of your music, so send me your songs (these don’t have to be cassette-themed, haha).”
