Bandcamp adds queing to fan Collections, inches closer to being an artist friendly streaming alternative

Bandcamp has added queing to each fan’s Collection. The addition inches Bandcamp closer to being a more artist friendly alternative to Spotify and other music streamers.

With queueing users can to listen to multiple albums and tracks in their Collection without interruption.

Collections offer a simple way for fans to support their favorite artists both financially and by promoting them to other music fans on Bandcamp.

A Bandcamp Collection page

Fan Collections on Bandcamp include tracks purchased or added to a Wishlist with limited plays by the fan. When the tracks are purchased, the artist or label receives a larger one time payment compared to the dribble of fractions of a penny received when a song is streamed.

Fans can also showcase their favorite music in their Collection including adding a “review” and customizing the look and layout of their collection. They can share the page with other fans who can then play and purchase the music right within the original collection.
