Amazon Music raises price in US, UK joining Apple. Is Spotify next?

Amazon Music has joined Apple Music in raising its price from $9.99 to $10.99 in the US and £9.99 to £10.99 in the UK, with similar prices increases across all of its plans and tiers.

The music streamer is also increasing its price in Germany and Japan. All prices are for non-Amazon Prime members.

Amazon Music’s new pricing starts February 21, 2023. “You will begin seeing the new price, plus applicable taxes, on your first bill after that date,” Amazon wrote to subscribers.

So far, Spotify is holding firm at $9.99, but that could change when Spotify holds its annual Stream On media event on March 8th.
