Believe acquires TuneCore music publishing partner Sentric, plots expansion

Believe has announced its acquisition of Sentric. The independent music publishing tech platform provides services for publishers, labels, and distribution companies, including Believe-owned Tunecore.

Setnric is valued at $51 million.

Sentric is active in 200+ territories, representing over 4 million songs and 400,000 songwriters directly or via its industry partners.  Sentric’s main competitor is Songtrsut.

Beleive describes the acquisition as “a first step for Believe in rolling out a global and comprehensive publishing business.”

For now, the integration should strengthen publishing for TuneCore’s self-releasing artists. Sentric will also offer publishing services to all clients within the Believe Group as well as outside artists and music companies.

“The growth and digital transformation of the songwriters’ market is opening up many opportunities,” said Denis Ladegaillerie, Founder & CEO of Believe. “We are excited to be able to immediately expand the services we provide to our existing TuneCore clients with Sentric’s best-in-class royalty collection service while starting to work on future innovative products and services for all of Believe’s songwriters and publishers.”
