TikTok #NewMusic discovery hub launched today with 22.2B views

TikTok’s new music discovery hub officially launched on Friday, June 9th, after amassing more than 22.2 billion views during beta.

The update formalizes searching for new music on the platform.

From the hub, users can click on #NewMusic to see all the videos tagged as New Music. DIY, indie, and major labels are already using the feature to highlight new releases in the Music Tab, in the For You Feed, and on their Music Page.

TikTok named BTS “the new global face” of its #newmusic initiative, and the group is using it to promote their new single “Take Two,” also released today.

“TikTok is already a destination for artists who want to preview their newest works and for music fans looking to discover new music, and this new feature will give artists a new way to connect with our global community,” said Paul Hourican, global head of music operations at TikTok.

Bruce Houghton is the Founder and Editor of Hypebot, a Senior Advisor at Bandsintown, President of the Skyline Artists Agency, and a Berklee College Of Music professor.

  1. I’m making a decent compensation from home $64k/week , which was astonishing under a year prior I was jobless in a horrendous economy. I was honored with these guidelines and presently it’s my obligation to show kindness and share it with Everyone
