How to get past the clutter and algorithms to build a fanbase

How does a band build an audience? Where do you find fans, and how do you communicate with them? The answers are not what you might expect.

Recently, I joined Michael Brandvold on the Music Biz Weekly Podcast for a wide-ranging discussion that included the amazing fall of music NFTs.

Within our long chat was a discussion about how to get past the algorithms and the clutter to find and build a fanbase in 2023, which Michael has now edited into a shorter, more pointed podcast episode.

I’m particularly gratified that he did this because, in addition to providing some essential advice, it shines a much-deserved spotlight on the hard work of the team at Bandsintown and the many free tools they have built to help artists.

  1. I’ve earned $64,000 USD so far this year while studying full-time. I’m making a lot of money using an internet business opportunity I learned about. It’s quite user-friendly, and I’m overjoyed that I discovered it.
