SOUNDRAW, a royalty-free AI beat and track generator, has raised $3M in a round led by Carbide Ventures and individual investors such as Paul Rosenberg, CEO of Goliath Artists, Inc./President of Shady Records.

SOUNDRAW reports that it has 557K registered free and paid accounts, driven partly by partnerships with artists producing collaborations, including “Ride the Wave” by French Montana and “Doin’ Me” by Fivio Foreign.

BeatConnect, a collaborative music creation platform, has raised $1.7M USD/$2.25 million CAD ahead of a relaunch. The round included Sfermion, FICC, Anges Québec, and Triptyq Capita.

BeatConnect takes a gamified approach to creating music to redefine how musicians, producers, and vocalists connect and create. The spring 2024 relaunch will introduce a comprehensive overhaul of BeatConnect’s mDAW (multiplayer Digital Audio Workstation).

• Music creation platform Splice has released a mobile app that combines its AI-based Create technology with a catalog of samples and a library of sounds. The app features over 300 instruments across 140 unique genres of music.

Splice also partnered with producer Terrace Martin to highlight the creative potential of Splice Mobile. “I
didn’t even need band members. What makes Splice’s Create function amazing, you don’t need a
keyboard, you don’t need a computer, you don’t even need a studio. So long as your phone is charged.”

AmptUp, “an all-in-one platform known for cutting the event booking process down from three weeks to three minutes.,” has added a Payouts feature that now serves venues and musicians throughout the entire booking process, from sending the initial contract and booking proposal to payment at the end of the gig.

Tixr, a privately held primary ticketing and live event commerce marketplace, has expanded into Canada, appointing industry veteran Stéphane McGarry to lead its efforts in the region.

McGarry will spearhead the company’s strategic Canadian expansion in this newly created role.
