Music Tectonics

Music Tectonics runs November 4-6. In recent years it has become the premier gathering at the intersection of music and tech. No other conference comes close and this year includes a music tech startup competition and a day long Creator Fair.

Riot Games, WMG, UMG, Roland, Shure, Secretly Canadian, Bandsintiown, Create Music Group, BMG, LyricFind, Stuff.io, Tipalti, and Loma Vista are among the major companies participating. Investors from Patron, Sony Ventures, Connect Ventures, Mindset Ventures, and Creator Partners will be joining panels and the startup competition.

A Common Thread…

Fabrice Sergent LA music conferences

What’s the common thread running through these three LA music industry conferences, other than great content and networking?

Fabrice Sergent, Bandsintown co-founder and managing partner, will be on stage at both MMF and Music Tectonics and expect him to stop by to say hello to his peers at Billboard’s Live Music Summit.

As always, Fabrice will be moving fast, so here are two times and places we know you can find him. If you do, tell him Team Hypebot told you to say hello.

On Monday at the MMF-US LA Summit, Fabrice will be doing a presentation on Bandsintown’s latest platform updates from 2:15–2:25 PM, followed by the Creator Tools: Empowering Artists to Build, Monetize & Engage panel from 2:55–3:25 PM.

On Wednesday at Music Tectonics, Fabrice joins “The New Direct to Fan E-commerce” hosted by Billboard’s Taylor Mims along with panelists Joshua Stone (Stuff.io) and Shannon Herber (Wise River Consulting). The panel’s brief: “The future of fandom is direct. Find out the best strategies for leaning into fandom profitably for artists, labels, and managers. Learn about tips and e-commerce tools that increase revenue and engagement.”
