Facebook is slowly creating a music department. While far from a rush of hiring, two help wanted postings point to the social media giant finally considering its longstanding problem with music licensing.

A September job posted for [Director of Global Music Licensin](https://www.hypebot.com/new-job-ad-signals-facebook-is-finally-getting-serious-about-music/) remains unfilled, and a newer jobs post has appeared seeking a music focused Product Manager. Minimum qualifications for the job include:
- "Understanding of music and video rights and copyright law"
- "Familiarity with YouTube’s Content ID"
