(UPDATED) At **Digital Music Forum West** today, **Jay Frank** is launching **[DigSin](http://digsin.com/?ref=hypebot.com)**, a digital music company that offers subscribers all releases free. A departure from the usual record label model, DigSin will focus on single song releases from new artists with a goal of maximizing the listening audience. Ex-Yahoo! and MTV Networks executive, Frank is familiar to Hypbeot readers as a [contributor](https://www.hypebot.com/jay-frank-its-not-spotifys-fault-that-you-make-so-little-money/) and author of the book [**FutureHitDNA**](https://www.hypebot.com/interview%5Fjay%5Ffrank/).

Some of **DigSin**'s back end is powered by [**Topspin**](http://www.topspinmedia.com/?ref=hypebot.com) and **artist submissions** are handled through the **[MusicXray](http://www.musicxray.com/profiles/2512/afid=ef81d670cce8012eea2b1231381bf5de?ref=hypebot.com)** platform. If chosen, the record deal will be **artist-friendly and flexible**, according Frank, enabling the company to partner with advertisers and other outlets to expose the music to as wide an audience as possible. He sees DigSin as **a stepping stone** for newer artists.

“[DigSin](http://digsin.com/?ref=hypebot.com) is the result of years of examining **the new ways music fans find and listen to music**,” Jay Frank told Hypebot. “We are committing ourselves to expose new songs in a targeted, organic way that enables us to be **a trusted filter** to music fans.”

Franks says DigSin, **short for Digital Single**, will cultivate exposure through a targeted database of music fans who will **receive releases for free** in both the genre and format of their choosing. As DigSin’s fanbase grows, so will the company’s ability to generate revenue in both traditional and non-traditional ways.

“To succeed as a music company today, you must be open to **multiple new revenue streams** and new ways of thinking,” says Frank. “Through a combination of **free music, social networking, analytics and traditional promotional outlets**, we will be a new model for music companies for the future.”

DigiSin is based in **Nashville** and will focus on genres like pop, rock, and dance.
