Live Nation is shutting down its Boomrat electronic dance music discovery site on January 15th. Live Nation had [acquired and launched Boomrat](https://www.hypebot.com/live-nation-acquires-launches-edm-platform-boomrat-take-that-sfx/) in July of last year. The Boomrat team and much of the services content and technology will be merged into Live Nation owned EDM hub Insomniac.

[Boomrat](https://boomrat.com/?ref=hypebot.com) curated EDM related content from blogs and streaming sites including SoundCloud. The announcement was made via a banner on Boomrat.com.

Earlier today we [reported](https://www.hypebot.com/hypebot/2015/01/live-nation-labs-execs-eric-garland-ethan-kaplan-exit-.html) that Live Nation was also shuttering its Live Nation Labs innovation division and spreading its staff across existing digital teams within the company.
