****Ariel Hyatt developed the 1,000 True Fans theory and continues to find inspiration from artists that have followed her theory. On [Music Think Tank](http://www.musicthinktank.com/blog/in-defense-of-1000-true-fans-part-xi-marian-call-leveraged-t.html?ref=hypebot.com), Ariel interviews Marian Call, an artist who has leverage social media in her career and toured all 50 U.S. states using Twitter and a little bit of Facebook.**

“I live in **Alaska**, and folks like me who are geographically isolated or far from the big cities are especially dependent on social media and the internet to have any sort of music career on the national scene…..Now I can keep living where I want to live and **still** reach my fans. That’s a **remarkable change** in the music landscape.” ([Read on for Marian’s story](http://www.musicthinktank.com/blog/in-defense-of-1000-true-fans-part-xi-marian-call-leveraged-t.html?ref=hypebot.com))
