# Millennials Shift From UK To European Music Festivals and Festicket Benefits

Though based in the UK, Festicket is increasingly benefitting from young people's growing tendency to ditch music festivals in the UK for longer vacations to music festivals across Europe. Lured by better weather, innovative lineups and cheap tickets, perhaps UK millennials are also seeking the "safer adventure" described by American millennials in a recent demographic report.

A BBC article [recently illustrated](http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22539977?ref=hypebot.com) a shift in preferred music festival venues with two juxtaposed pictures, one of a beautiful Croatian beach and the other of a mud-soaked Brit festival attendee.

Dan Fahey of Festicket is quoted as saying that there are now around "17 brilliant new festivals" in Croatia which offers beautiful weather and some truly amazing landscape. Sounds like a great setting for the "safer adventure" described in the [American Millennials research report](https://www.hypebot.com/american-millennials-key-attributes-the-music-industry-seems-to-be-ignoring/).

European festival goers are also drawn from the UK due to [innovative lineups](http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/may/26/music-festivals-give-me-spain?ref=hypebot.com) and a choice of landscapes including urban settings.

**Festicket Benefits from Shift to Europe**

[Festicket's](http://www.festicket.com/?ref=hypebot.com) role is to provide travel packages to festival-goers including everything from travel to lodging to festival ticketing.

Earlier this year Festicket announced a [$680k investment round](https://www.hypebot.com/festicket-raises-680k-for-festival-booking-platform/).

They've grown their business in part by offering a white-label version of their service to partners, including festival organizers and promoters, and they recently [upgraded their affiliate program](http://thenextweb.com/insider/2013/06/24/festicket-just-made-it-easier-for-affiliates-to-resell-festival-packages-through-their-own-websites/?ref=hypebot.com) to automate new associates.

As I mentioned in discussing the [American Millennials report](https://www.hypebot.com/american-millennials-key-attributes-the-music-industry-seems-to-be-ignoring/), travel may be one of the areas in which the music industry is missing opportunities.

By identifying and addressing a pain point, uncoordinated services for music festival attendees, Festicket can now also capitalize on demographic shifts in festival attendance.
