- In May of 2007 CBS bought bought **Last.fm** for $280 million. Yesterday they layed off 20 members of its 95 person staff calling the move further "integration".
- Deep staff cuts continue at independent distributor/one stop **Alliance Entertainment**. Sources have it’s **Innovative Distribution Network** shutting down entirely leaving a number of indies homeless. Parent company **Source Interlink** hinted at further trouble during an earnings call yesterday and the company’s stock hovered around 20 cents a share.
