(UPDATED) Well, another week has gone by without **Google** naming its new head of music (Sorry **Ted**, be patient.) Apple got some unusual mixed press surrounding **Ping** including it's [handling of indie artists](https://www.hypebot.com/apple-says-go-to-distributor-to-get-itunes-ping-artist-profile-tunecores-response/) and **Billboard** [announced](https://www.hypebot.com/billboard-myspace-want-musicians-to-pay-100-to-be-a-dreamseeker/) that it will help make every **"Dreamseeker"** that gives them $100 a star. Just another typical week in the new music biz. How many months is it to **MidemNet**? I could use a little Cannes… PS: If he gets the job, **Ted's definitely buying the first round**.
