### This Week's Podcast: What is Your Vibe? How To Build A Fanbase From Scratch

This week on the Music Biz Weekly Podcast, Brandvold and Blasko discuss building a fan base, focusing on defining one's "vibe" or brand as a key first step.

The pair discuss on the new [**Bandsintown Apple Music tour date integration**](https://www.hypebot.com/musicians-guide-to-new-apple-music-and-bandsintown-integration-2/). Then the pair go deep on how new artists can **differentiate themselves in a crowded marketplace** by identifying their unique message or perspective, rather than competing directly with established bands - all on a tiny budget.

The conversation also covers understanding both who the artist is and who their target audience might be, emphasizing **authentic connection with fans** as essential for long-term success. They also look at the challenges of maintaining authenticity and the need for new bands to **actively seek out potential fans** rather than waiting to be discovered.
