(UPDATE) In anticipation of their late August launch, music press platform **[StoryAmp](http://www.storyamp.com/?ref=hypebot.com)** is giving away a **free 60-page book**, "Amplify Your Story: Getting More Press through the Art of the Pitch" to anyone who signs up for a **free beta invite** on their site. StoryAmp has developed and set of tools allowing d.i.y. musician to create an online press kit (a "Dispatch") and reach the media including traditional print and national news radio outlets.

  
StoryAmp is also building a portfolio of **tools for music journalists** designed to cut music pitch overload and cut time spent sifting through irrelevant music pitches.  
  
The book **Amplify Your Story** was written by StoryAmp CEO **Dmitri Vietze**, a veteran music publicist with over a dozen years of experience. The book includes interviews with Topspin Media's Ian Rogers, FanBridge's Spencer Richardson, Band Camp's Jennifer Elias, CD Baby's Brian Felsen, Onesheet's Brenden Mulligan, and New Rockstar Philosophy authors Hoover and Voyno. These leaders in web promotion services talk about the importance of storytelling and the press in using their services and in music careers in general.
