Mobile WhatsApp sharing buttons are reaping big rewards for digital publishers and that could easily happen with your music blog and related content. The DIY options are a bit limited at this stage. If you know of other options for adding WhatsApp sharing buttons then please share in the comments. [WhatsApp](http://www.whatsapp.com/?ref=hypebot.com) is a major player in the messaging scene with [500 million users](http://recode.net/2014/04/22/as-whatsapp-hits-500-million-users-ceo-jan-koum-preaches-focus/?ref=hypebot.com) as of late April who were "sharing 700 million photos and 100 million videos per day." WhatsApp has been working with a few publishers who are using WhatsApp sharing buttons and, in some cases, [seeing higher sharing than from Twitter](http://digiday.com/publishers/publishers-see-big-sharing-numbers-via-whatsapp/?ref=hypebot.com). Apparently WhatsApp has not made it easy for third parties to do such things but a few solutions are showing up. I haven't used them yet though I have played around a bit with the WordPress plugins. Apparently there's something happening with iOS that's making it the only mobile os that can be set up to do this kind of thing by third parties at the moment. **WhatsApp Sharing Button Options** [WhatsApp Sharing Button Generator](http://www.whatsapp-sharing.com/?ref=hypebot.com) Create a sharing button for your site that is designed to only show up on iOS devices. The Whatsapp button is only supposed to show on iOS devices. [Share Buttons by AddToAny](http://wordpress.org/plugins/add-to-any/?ref=hypebot.com) WordPress Plugin: Includes WhatsApp in its list of networks to add. [Share Buttons by E-MAILiT](https://wordpress.org/plugins/e-mailit/faq/?ref=hypebot.com) WordPress plugin: The wordpress.org page has a WhatsApp logo but after installing it there doesn't seem to be a WhatsApp option currently available. This is just a beginning however shaky.
