(UPDATE 2) Berlin based music tech startup [**Musicplayr**](https://www.hypebot.com/collect-free-music-with-musicplayrs-minimum-viable-product/) has announced at $625,000 seed investment from Lars Langusch of Holzbrink Ventures. The free online playlist service enables users to collect and play songs from blogs, **YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo** and **DailyMotion**.

Because [Musicplayr](http://musicplayr.com/?ref=hypebot.com) draws music from other sources, there none of the often thorny and expensive licensing issues that many music startups face. “We work exactly like a Tumblr or WordPress blog,” co-founder Stefan Vosskoetter told [TechCrunch](http://techcrunch.com/2012/10/19/web-music-playlist-creator-musicplayr-grabs-e500000-in-seed-funding-launches-to-public/?ref=hypebot.com).

Currently users tag tracks (indie, folk), but the company is planning a **Gracenote** integration for music identification. The founders also say that a pay version will likely be added.
