The front page of the popular online mix tape service **[Muxtape](http://muxtape.com/?ref=hypebot.com)** began carrying only this message yesterday:

[![Muxtape_2](https://spcdn.shortpixel.ai/spio/ret_img,q_cdnize/www.hypebot.com/hypebot/images/2008/08/18/muxtape_2.jpg "Muxtape_2")](https://www.hypebot.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/2008/08/18/muxtape%5F2.jpg)

**Muxtape** will be unavailable for a
brief period while we sort out a
problem with the RIAA.

No details are being provided as to the nature of the disagreement, though a Muxtape Tumblr [blog](http://muxtape.tumblr.com/?ref=hypebot.com) post shared:

> No artists or labels have complained. The site is not closed indefinitely. Stay tuned.
>
> Beta users of **Muxtape For Bands**: you are unaffected by this outage.

More details as they become available.
