In a rambling post on the [company blog](http://qtrax.wordpress.com/2009/07/17/a-note-from-allan-klepfisz/?ref=hypebot.com), Qtrax head Alan Klepfisz admitted that its been a long strange trip to get the ad-supported music service off the ground, but claimed once again that it is nearing a full launch, perhaps as early as this [Thursday](http://www.ft.com/cms/s/5d714a44-2480-11de-9a01-00144feabdc0,dwp%5Fuuid=e8477cc4-c820-11db-b0dc-000b5df10621,Authorised=false.html?%5Fi%5Flocation=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ft.com%2Fcms%2Fs%2F0%2F5d714a44-2480-11de-9a01-00144feabdc0%2Cdwp%5Fuuid%3De8477cc4-c820-11db-b0dc-000b5df10621.html%3Fnclick%5Fcheck%3D1&%5Fi%5Freferer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.waynerosso.com%2F2009%2F04%2F09%2Fanother-lame-qtrax-launch%2F&nclick%5Fcheck=1&ref=hypebot.com). Of course, this is all coming from the same company that held a flashy party in January of 2008 in Cannes to announce deals with the major labels that did not exist…

Before officially launching, however, the company may also have to make good on a $1.8 million bounced check and repeated attempts to collect on it that [Greg Sandoval of CNet](http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023%5F3-10296693-93.html?ref=hypebot.com) found buried in lawsuit filed by Oracle. The lawsuit asserts that the bounce check means that Qtrax is in breach of contract and illegally using Oracle's software.
