# RootMusic Gets $2.3 Million To Help Musicians Build Better Facebook Pages

(UPDATE 2) According to a [filing](http://sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1509144/000150914411000001/xslFormDX01/primary%5Fdoc.xml?ref=hypebot.com) with the SEC, **[RootMusic](http://www.rootmusic.com/?ref=hypebot.com)** has recieved a total of **$2.3 million in funding** to build out its popular application that helps musicians design more robust Facebook pages.

The company has not yet named the source of the investment. 

(**Update:** Funding came from Mohr Davidow Ventures with David Feinleib. It's BandPage app is now the #1 entertainment and music app on Facebook and the 17th largest overall app.) RootMusic offers both a free and a paid version of its BandPages which overcome most of Facebook's shortcomings as a music site adding tracks, photos, videos, a tour calendar and more to an artist's Facebook presence. **Watch a RootMusic BandPage Plus video demo:**
