The current Rumblefish management team will take over day-to-day operations; and its content ID administration, micro-licensing and RADKey services will continue uninterrupted.

Troiano founded the company in his dorm room at the University of Oregon and helped define music micro-licensing, now a core element of digital music revenue. He also invented the first self-reporting license verification technology, RADKey.

“I’m extremely proud of what the Rumblefish team and I have accomplished for artists over the years, paying out tens of millions of dollars in micro-licensing royalties and to have played a part in building the world’s first true “MRO” (Music Rights Organization), combining SESAC, HFA and Rumblefish under one roof," said Troiano. "This has been an experience of a lifetime and was made possible by the many, many artists who believe in us and know that we genuinely care about them and their music… music that it was my honor to have represented.”

**What's Next**

Troiano says he plans to spend more time with his wife and 3-month-old daughter, as well as continuing his involvement with the artistic and entrepreneurial communities of Portland, Oregon.
