rather thousands free internet radio streams. As Wi-fi and cell phone streaming become more ubiquitous listeners will have so many choices with no or limited advertising that listening to commercial radio or paying for XM could become unnecessary.

SelectRadio software turns many PDA’s and similar devices into net radio receivers for a mere $25 ($35 in a pro edition). The download promises easy access to 4000 pre-set stations as well as features ranging from searching for a station currently playing a favorite artist to pre-determined recording much like a VCR for net radio.
