Updates to a variety of **key social media tools used by musicians** may help your marketing efforts. Pinterest has officially added **business accounts,** Twitter now supports **emailing individual tweets** and badges are available to **publicize** your Instagram web profile. One bit of news, Facebook adding iTunes gift card to Facebook Gifts, would be much bigger if fans could gift specific pieces of music.

**Pinterest Adds Business Accounts**

Though many bands and businesses have a presence on Pinterest it was only in recent weeks that [Pinterest added business accounts](http://allthingsd.com/20121114/pinterest-removes-ban-on-commercial-use-as-it-adds-business-accounts/?ref=hypebot.com). [Pinterest for Business](http://business.pinterest.com/?ref=hypebot.com) highlights a few features and shares some examples of why your music business should be on Pinterest.

**Email Tweets Directly from Twitter**

Twitter recently added a simple option for [sharing tweets by email](http://blog.twitter.com/2012/11/sharing-tweets-just-got-easier.html?ref=hypebot.com). Simply "click on the 'More' icon next to the reply, retweet and favorite buttons in order to email a Tweet to anyone you know." You can also add a comment. Try not to overdo it but every now and then a tweet really is worth sharing with a journalist.

**Badges for Instagram Web Profiles**

If you have your [Instagram web profile](https://www.hypebot.com/instagram-web-profiles-music-marketing/) in action then be sure to display your Instagram badge as appropriate.

**Facebook Gifts Adds iTunes Gift Cards**

In what should be good news for musicians, Facebook is [integrating the iTunes catalog](http://www.insidefacebook.com/2012/11/26/facebook-adds-itunes-gift-cards-to-gifts-product-integrates-itunes-catalogue/?ref=hypebot.com) and adding iTunes gift cards to [Facebook Gifts](https://www.facebook.com/about/gifts).

Unfortunately you can only buy your friends the iTunes gift cards rather than specific songs or albums on iTunes. If that changes then encouraging music gifting via Facebook/iTunes will be worth considering.
