But Pinterest has jumped into the breech. And they're not the only ones hard at work. Last week Google+ introduced Google+ Communities and HootSuite's App Directory added support for more social media outlets including Vimeo and WordPress.org.** Twitter has been upping its photo game in order to compete with all sorts of people including Instagram. They [switched photo storage](http://thenextweb.com/twitter/2012/12/11/twitter-switched-from-photobucket-to-an-in-house-storage-system-called-blobstore-in-september/?ref=hypebot.com) from Photobucket to an inhouse system back in September in order to scale. **Twitter Adds Photo Filters** In a more directly competitive move, they just [added photo filters](http://blog.twitter.com/2012/12/twitter-photos-put-filter-on-it.html?ref=hypebot.com) as shown in the above video. On a side note, their new profiles should [roll out for everyone](http://blog.twitter.com/2012/12/new-profiles-for-everyone.html?ref=hypebot.com) today. This summer Twitter stopped allowing Instagram users to [connect with Twitter friends](http://www.mediabistro.com/alltwitter/twitter-instagram%5Fb26092?ref=hypebot.com). Over the last week or so, Instagram has struck back, sort of, by first making it difficult to post photos directly to Twitter and now [removing posting entirely](http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/10/tech/social-media/twitter-instagram-photos/index.html?ref=hypebot.com) with only a link back to Instagram. While Instagram's [introduction of web profiles](https://www.hypebot.com/instagram-web-profiles-music-marketing/) has been helpful to music marketers, busy musicians and marketers can't be happy with having some of their most popular tools making such moves. Here are some [workarounds](http://www.mediabistro.com/alltwitter/how-to-post-instagram-on-twitter%5Fb32369?ref=hypebot.com) that might bring some sanity back into your life. And, if you're on Pinterest, you should be happy to know that you can now [view your pins on Twitter](http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2413109,00.asp?ref=hypebot.com). **Google+ Introduces Communities** Last week Google+ [launched](http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2012/12/google-communities-and-photos.html?ref=hypebot.com) Google+ Communities focused on theme-based groups to bring people together. For example, [Google+ Communities](https://plus.google.com/communities?ref=hypebot.com) already has a group for [GoGirlsMusic](https://plus.google.com/communities/103464831619547579204?ref=hypebot.com) and for [Musicians](https://plus.google.com/communities/113770089420119113389?ref=hypebot.com).
