Live music database **[Songkick](songkick.com)** has partnered with **[Vevo](vevo.com)** and **[YouTube](youtude.com)**; fans browsing for music videos will now be **automatically updated** about shows happening in their area. I’d like to think I keep pretty good tabs on the local music scene and even I was surprised to see a few concerts listed that I had missed.

It’s a no frills, text-based listing, but for as long as it drives fan awareness, this should prove to be helpful for concert promoters.

“When we started Songkick, **our goal was to make it easier to find out about shows**,” says [**Ian Hogarth**](http://www.songkick.com/blog/2010/08/10/songkick-loves-music-videos-now-integrated-into-youtube-and-vevo/?ref=hypebot.com). And, with this new partnership, added with Hype Machine, Songbird, We Are Hunted and Grooveshark, they will achieve just that.
