# Sonicbids, Magisto Partner For “Battle Of The Fans”

Music marketing platform Sonicbids and personal video creator Magisto have partnered for a "Battle of The Fans". In the contest, fans of eleven selected bands can create a "Rock On" themed Magisto movie using a band’s music and Magisto’s simple video creation process.

These personal music videos can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, email and SMS. The band receiving the most views across all fan-created videos win a slot at Sonicbids’ SXSW party on March 14th.

Magisto Chief Marketing Officer Reid Genauer, who Hypebot readers may remember from his stint at eMusic, said of the partnership "We’re excited to offer a way for musicians and fans to collaborate using Magisto to cement the shared experience that defines music listening. By activating the loyal fans of both artists and the creative community within Magisto, over 100,000 thousand fan-generated movies were created, receiving nearly 1 million video views.”
