Leading wireless music system manufacturer **Sonos has added $130 million in new funding,** according to an [SEC filing](http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1314727/000131472714000001/xslFormDX01/primary%5Fdoc.xml?ref=hypebot.com). Thus far, Sonos has released no official word of the latest addition to its impressive war chest which now tops [$455 million](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/sonos?ref=hypebot.com).

While one of the first to manufacture high quality wireless speakers, there's **increasing competition in the sector** both from old school audio companies and upstart newcomers like Jambox.

In recent months, [Sonos](http://www.sonos.com/?ref=hypebot.com) has been steadily improving its products and adding services Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Deezer, Sirius XM, Google Music and Soundcloud to new Android and iOS app based controllers.

To promote the upgrades and head off the competition, Sonos has launched an extensive ad campaign, including this TV spot:

By way of full disclosure, **I've become a big fan of Sonos** since they recently sent me several review units. No wireless system that I've tried before or since delivers the ease of use and fidelity that [Sonos](http://www.sonos.com/?ref=hypebot.com) does.
