OK…we’re sick of talking about this too, but take a look at THE NUMBERS:

1. **4.7 million** CDs [![Sory_logo_4](https://hypebot.typepad.com/hypebot/images/sory_logo_4.gif "Sory_logo_4")](http://hypebot.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/sory%5Flogo%5F4.gif&ref=hypebot.com)
2. [**52** titles](http://hypebot.typepad.com/hypebot/2005/11/sony%5Freleases%5Fl.html?ref=hypebot.com)
3. [**568,000** computer servers](http://hypebot.typepad.com/hypebot/2005/11/more%5Fthan%5Fhalf%5F.html?ref=hypebot.com) infected (and perhaps as many as 350,000 more)
4. **4662** signatures on a [petition](http://www.petitiononline.com/bcsony/petition.html?ref=hypebot.com) to boycott Sony
5. Number of lawsuits from artists, managers, retailers, and consumers: **TBA**
6. Cost to consumer confidence when purchasing music: **PRICELESS**

Now Sony’s "response" requires consumers to mail back the CD to the company with a proof of purchase. *When was the last time some pink haired record store clerk even gave you a receipt?.*
