Spotify is in the midst of its annual company-wide Wellness Week October 25 to November 1, 2025\. Spotify employees worldwide are encouraged to take a paid break to focus on their mental health and well-being.

The [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/?ref=hypebot.com) Wellness Week initiative began in 2021 as a response to the mental toll of the pandemic. Since then its become an annual benefit for all employees, separate from their regular paid time off.

The entire company effectively shuts down for the week to ensure that employees can truly disconnect from work.

During [previous editions of Wellness Week](https://www.hypebot.com/spotify-is-closed-nov-1-5-to-gives-employees-a-wellness-week-and-what-that-means-for-you/) closed offices also meant no or at least curtailed Spotify services. Distributors and labels were told that tracks should be ingested early and to expect minimal support if something went wrong.

Playlist updates were also minimal except for a few of the most popular.
